Remodel mostly finished

We got the carpet installed today. I forgot to take pictures last night after we cleaned up from all the painting and trim. But you can see Jake is very excited about moving things upstairs. The toys were first and now the computer. He wants to put the guest bed up in the kids room for a few months until we are ready for them to move upstairs. We still need to finish the bathroom and put up doors.

Hello

Yesterday Jake was getting ready to meet me for dinner. He wanted the kids to find their shoes. Thing 2 picked up a play phone and said “hello, shoes, this is Thing 2, where are you?”

We had fun at dinner, the kids didn’t have any accidents yesterday so they got ice cream for dessert.

I’ve been meaning to write about what Thing 1 says for a few weeks now. In the morning when we watch PBS there is a commercial that Chick-fil-a is a sponsor and it says the cows have no beef with that. When the commercial comes on Thing 1 always says “the cows have no beef with that mom”.

Happy Halloween Everybody

Thing 1 loved knocking on doors and when she did she said “happy Halloween everybody” before anyone answered the door. They both loved trick-or-treating and were super cute about saying thank you and trick-or-treat. They were very excited that so many people gave them so much candy. We went to the trunk-or-treat and just went to about 10 cars and they got way to much candy.

Jake got out some glow sticks after dinner and was swinging them around. It was fun until Thing 1 got hit by one.

The blankets on their heads was requested by them, I had to get a picture because they are just cute.
