Thing 1 and Thing 2 had a birthday. They are now three years old. It is amazing how fast it has gone, yet some days seem so long. They had a great birthday We opened presents and had breakfast. Then we headed to the Fair parade. They got so much candy and loved it.
After the parade we came home and let them play in their new sandbox. Jake and Ivan spent all day Friday working on it and it is very cool. Then Jake got them lunch from Arby’s. The rest of the day they got to have a nap and play. They each got a cake pop for dessert.
We took them shopping earlier in the week to get each other gifts. Thing 2 went first with Jake. When they got home they took the gifts into our bedroom to show me and keep them away from Thing 1. I was getting ready to take Thing 1 to the store when she comes out of the hallway and says “Thank you so much” and is holding the toys Thing 2 had picked out for her.
Thing 1 ended up getting the same present for Thing 2 that he had picked out for her only blue instead of pink. Our party with cake was on Sunday and I will do another post for that later. I love to compare this year to last year and Baby P to Thing 1 and Thing 2 and different stages. So here is our video from this year and a link to last year.
