For New Year's Eve we went sledding. I forgot to get the camera to take with us, so here are some pictures playing with the snow boots after the fact. They both say "boots" very well. Thing 2 loved sledding, he would get on a sled with anyone going down the hill, grinning and having a blast. Thing 1 tried to like it but going fast down the hill scared her, so she would wimper a little each time. After a while I just let her watch Thing 2 go down, soon she acted like she wanted a turn, but still wimpered when she went down with her Dad. Maybe next year she will like it more. The both did very well being out in the cold.
After sledding we came home and got ready for our New Year's Eve bash. It was going to be a little appetizer dinner with my sister and niece, but my other sister was stuck here from Wyoming so we invited them to come also, and in inviting her we invited my parents and then my other sister and my brother's family as well. It was a full house, however it was fun to spend some time together.
"Boots"
We tried to catch a picture of her carrying the boot around on her arm, but we missed it.

This has started much earlier than I thought it would. Thing 1 is being sat on, this happens regularly, she giggles for a while and then cries.
The twins are now 16 months old, it is hard to imagine where the time went. We had a check up today and they are both growing. Thing 1 is 21 lbs 12 ounces and is 30 inches tall, Thing 2 is 24 lbs and 30 inches tall. They are both saying a lot of words, Thing 1 repeats a lot of words if you ask her to. Thing 2 says functional words like "cookie" and "cracker" and "snack". It is fun to watch their personalities. Thing 1 is very good at throwing fits (I can't wait until we are 2, can they really get worse). Thing 2 is happy most of the time, but he has a super sad face when he is going to cry. They love to have stories read to them and are content to look at their books by themselves, a post to come on that soon.
It was a fun party, thanks for inviting us!
