We went on a date to look at cars and see the new Avengers movie. On the way home we could see some smoke coming from Blackfoot. When we got closer we saw that the smoke was coming from my parents property or their neighbors.
I called to see if the kids were okay and if my mom and dad were okay. They were all fine, but the trees got some fire damage and it took a while for the firefighters and my parents, some friends, neighbors, and Jake to get all the hot spots put out. One of the pine trees was shooting up flames, we missed that part but my mom was afraid all the pine trees were going to burn, it looked like only 1 or 2 are ruined.
Thing 2 is a little apprehensive about fire trucks, but Thing 1 got her picture taken with the fire truck. Not a great situation but it could have been a lot worse. The house, yard, and out buildings are all fine.
